Want a quick way to shorten the URL of a Web page you're viewing?
Drag the following link to your 'Links' or 'Bookmarks' toolbar (or right-click and choose 'Add to Favorites' or 'Bookmark this link'):
Then when you're next on a page with a long URL, just click the DigBig button to create a short URL pointing to that page.
Imporant Note:
- This is a new button as of 1 May 2007 (the old button no longer works)
- When you use the new button, you will be prompted to log in if you are not already logged in.
If you can't see a toobar on which to drag the link, or are having difficulties, then read these tips:
Internet Explorer
- If you can't see the 'Links' toolbar, then select the menu 'View > Toolbars > Links'. Then drag the word 'DigBig' above onto that toolbar and click 'Yes' on the pop-up window.
- In Internet Explorer 7, you will need to right-click on the link above, and choose 'Add to Favorites'
Firefox
- If you can't see the 'Bookmarks' toolbar, then select the menu 'View > Toolbars > Booksmarks Toolbar'. Then drag the word 'DigBig' above onto that toolbar.
